Industry Engagement is where GS1 engages with industry to define its needs for standards, solution and services; and collaborate with other standards bodies, inter-governmental organisations and trade associations. These activities are organised both by sector and where appropriate, on a cross sector basis.
These activities form the initial part of the overall
GS1 standards and solutions development process and are tightly integrated into that process.
